Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koji Sobando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Blanco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koji Sobando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto Blanco!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobando uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blanco.
Sobando wants to clinch up but Blanco keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Blanco as Sobando shoots in.
Sobando slips a straight right by Blanco.
Sobando tries to clinch but Blanco is having none of it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sobando looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blanco throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Koji Sobando has been cut.
Sobando shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blanco sprawls well. Blanco wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sobando gets slowly back to his feet.
Sobando slips under a jab from Blanco.
Sobando avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sobando misses with a two punch combination.
Sobando fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Koji Sobando. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Blanco or perhaps it was just good defense by Sobando, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blanco takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sobando throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blanco's waist but Blanco gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sobando off to one side.
Blanco misses with a straight right.
Sobando tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Blanco manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blanco lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blanco loads up on a big right hand but Sobando slips the punch.
Blanco lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Blanco steps in with a hook that catches Sobando right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Blanco follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Sobando looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roberto Blanco!
