The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layser scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rico doesn't seem bothered though.

and Layser counters with a crisp one two that drops Rico! Layser thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rico to his feet! Rico is in big trouble!

Layser looks to land a left hand but Rico moved out of range nicely.

A telegraphed right hand from Rico misses the target.

and Layser counters with a huge right that knocks Rico out cold! Layser is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

After winning the bout, Lex Layser thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
