Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Belal Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nate Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Li thuds his right hand into Coleman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Coleman takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Li sprawls well. Li wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coleman gets slowly back to his feet.
Li tries to close the distance and clinch but Coleman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coleman.
Coleman looks to throw the jab but Li is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Li lands with a slapping head kick.
Li keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Belal Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Coleman.
Li throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


Coleman is rocked!
We've been told by Li's head coaches at Alpha Elite Private Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Coleman throws a right hand that misses
and Li counters with a good, hard body kick but Coleman shrugs it off.
Coleman is still on wobbly legs! Can Li finish him?
Coleman looks winded!

Li moves into the clinch successfully.
Li has Coleman pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Coleman is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Li - that's hurt Coleman badly! Oh, another knee lands and Coleman is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Coleman doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Belal Li!
A very excited looking Belal Li made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
