Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dj Harrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buster Cheriov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheriov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Harrington.
Cheriov shoots in and gets a takedown into Harrington's guard.

Harrington has his foot on Cheriov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cheriov works his way back into a safe position though.
Cheriov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harrington. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harrington is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cheriov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Harrington has control of Cheriov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cheriov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Harrington avoids the attempt from Cheriov to control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cheriov tries to hold on but Harrington pushes him away.

Cheriov shoots in looking for a takedown but Harrington manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cheriov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Buster Cheriov has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cheriov wants to finish this one by submission but Harrington is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cheriov.

Cheriov is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Cheriov is trying to stick to Harrington's back but Harrington is turning into Cheriov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cheriov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Harrington.
Cheriov pulls Harrington in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cheriov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cheriov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harrington is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Buster Cheriov.
Cheriov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harrington but Harrington pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cheriov.

Cheriov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cheriov lands in his opponent's guard.

Buster Cheriov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
Cheriov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cheriov darts in looking for a takedown but Harrington gets double underhooks and turns Cheriov into the cage.
Cheriov is pressed up against the cage. Harrington has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cheriov down to the mat. Cheriov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cheriov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harrington sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Cheriov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cheriov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Harrington is trying to defend but Cheriov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Cheriov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Harrington is looking for a sweep. Cheriov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cheriov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harrington is just riding it out for now. Cheriov eventually gives up the hold.
Harrington tries to get to full guard but Cheriov has control of the leg.
Harrington is looking to control Cheriov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harrington avoid being mounted?

Cheriov is taking a breather. Harrington says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cheriov passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Harrington!

Buster Cheriov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Harrington throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
