Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guadalupe Foley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lou Silva!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Chris Dean and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and pushes Foley back into the cage.

Silva successfully pulls guard.
Silva is controlling Foley's posture.
Foley is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Foley throws a big elbow that misses.
Foley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Foley stops Silva from standing up.
Foley postures up.
Silva is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Silva is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Foley presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Foley tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Foley is looking to get back to his feet here but Silva is keeping cool and he's managed to take Foley's back.

Foley holding both Silva 's hands and preventing any damage.

Silva is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Foley has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Silva is working an open guard so Foley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Foley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Foley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Silva has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Foley lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Foley can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Foley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva wants to control from the top but Foley keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Silva dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Foley moves into the clinch.
Foley misses with the head strike.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Foley has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.
Foley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Foley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Foley wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Silva trying to control but Foley is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Foley wriggles free and stands up.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Foley has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva is trying to break the clinch but Foley is controlling him.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Foley struggling a bit here.
Foley wants to get back to his feet.
Foley looks to move to half guard but instead Silva has passed into mount! Damn!
Foley is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Foley is trying to escape the mount.
Foley wants to control but Silva is having none of it.
Foley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Foley is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to control but Foley wriggling away.
Foley has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Silva's lack of action.
Foley wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Guadalupe Foley just wasn't active enough.
Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Foley was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.


Foley is rocked!


It looks like Guadalupe Foley has been cut.

Foley working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Oh Foley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Foley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Silva passes Foley's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Silva winds up and cracks Foley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Silva lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Foley! More strikes land and this one is all over! Silva jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lou Silva!
