4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yardigalovich Vasililiev! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasililiev throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brown Jr finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Brown Jr tries to clinch up. Brown Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasililiev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Vasililiev swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brown Jr counters with a right hand to the body. An inside leg kick from Vasililiev misses. Brown Jr dodges the punch combination from Vasililiev.

Brown Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vasililiev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Brown Jr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Vasililiev is looking to control Brown Jr's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vasililiev avoid being mounted?

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vasililiev can do anything to dispel that myth. Brown Jr is looking for a kimura.
