The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgregor avoids the head kick by Pettis.
Mcgregor looks to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Mcgregor wants to clinch.
Pettis slips a jab and a cross from Mcgregor.
Mcgregor closes the distance looking to clinch
and Pettis counters with a body kick that stops Mcgregor in his tracks momentarily.
Pettis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mcgregor walks forward, straight into a front kick from Pettis.
Mcgregor darts in trying to clinch
and Pettis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mcgregor is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcgregor wants to clinch up but Pettis keeps it at a distance.
Pettis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Pettis keeps the fight on the outside.
Pettis connects with a solid leg kick.

Oh Mcgregor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pettis lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Mcgregor crumples to the floor! Pettis milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
