Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toktogulovich Bakiyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Dimont!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimont shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bakiyev sprawls well. Bakiyev wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dimont gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Dimont with that takedown attempt.
Bakiyev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dimont looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bakiyev scores with the left hand. Dimont knows he should have avoided that one.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dimont working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Dimont throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bakiyev is trying to buck Dimont off.
Dimont misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Bakiyev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
