PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Adeeos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Tamatso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Klaus Adeeos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Tamatso!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamatso misses with a low kick.
Adeeos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adeeos shoots in looking for a takedown. Tamatso tries to sprawl out of it but Adeeos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Tamatso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Adeeos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tamatso.
Tamatso looks to land a left hand but Adeeos moved out of range nicely.
Tamatso tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tamatso throws a half hearted mid kick.
Adeeos shoots in for a takedown but Tamatso shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Klaus Adeeos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tamatso lands with a kick to the temple. Adeeos shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Klaus Adeeos has been cut.
Tamatso throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Tamatso misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tamatso lands a left and a right that sends Adeeos crashing to the canvas! Tamatso dives into mount looking to finish!


Adeeos is rocked!
Adeeos working to try and regain half guard.
Adeeos is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Tamatso has taken his back.
Adeeos tries to break free.
Tamatso is not going to allow Adeeos to sit and survive in this position.
Adeeos breaks Tamatso's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Tamatso looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Adeeos wants to control from the top but Tamatso keeps moving.
Adeeos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tamatso swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tamatso pulls Adeeos in to control the position.
Tamatso looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tamatso misses with an uppercut. Adeeos saw that one coming.
Adeeos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Adeeos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Adeeos lands in his opponent's guard.
Tamatso looking to control.
Adeeos stands up out of Tamatso's guard for a moment - Tamatso manages to land a nice upkick.
Tamatso wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tamatso is on top in guard.

Tamatso passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Tamatso scoring with punches and elbows.
Adeeos is letting Tamatso control him for a moment.

Tamatso tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tamatso has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Adeeos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tamatso wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Tamatso takes a little break here. Adeeos wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Tamatso trying to control the action but Adeeos is working from the bottom.
Adeeos is looking to regain half guard here but Tamatso keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Adeeos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Tamatso throws a series of punches but Adeeos avoids them all with ease.

Tamatso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Tamatso is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Tamatso works his way into side control.
Tamatso lands a nice forearm strike.
Adeeos is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tamatso off and has taken his back!

Adeeos looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Tamatso is controlling Adeeos 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Adeeos looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tamatso passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tamatso content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Tamatso trying to mount his opponent but Adeeos defends it.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tamatso wants to pass the guard but Adeeos is defending well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Adeeos tries to roll over but Tamatso keeps him under control.

Adeeos is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tamatso pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Tamatso connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Tamatso tries to clinch up but Adeeos circles away and keeps his distance.

Tamatso closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tamatso lands in his opponent's guard.
Tamatso is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Adeeos is trying to hold Tamatso in close to prevent damage but Tamatso has managed to pass into half guard.
Tamatso moves nicely into side control.

Tamatso thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tamatso working the ground and pound.
Tamatso wants to control but Adeeos is keeping him busy.
Adeeos is looking to reverse the position.
Tamatso works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Tamatso staying calm.

Adeeos is trying to control Tamatso's posture but Tamatso avoids it.
Adeeos is looking for a sweep.
Tamatso is looking to take a break and control but Adeeos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Adeeos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tamatso.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsuyoshi Tamatso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Some bone on bone action there as Adeeos checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tamatso throws a body punch but Adeeos moves out of range.
Adeeos has his takedown stuffed

and Tamatso counters with a single leg into guard. Adeeos didn't expect that.
Tamatso tries to free his leg and advance position but Adeeos is retaining full guard.
Tamatso keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Adeeos's head.

Adeeos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tamatso trying to control the position from guard on top but Adeeos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tsuyoshi Tamatso has got the better of the ground game so far.

Adeeos is looking for a triangle here but Tamatso uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tamatso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Adeeos is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Adeeos is looking for a sweep.
Adeeos is letting Tamatso control him for a moment.
Tamatso wants to take a breather but Adeeos manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Tamatso.
Tamatso won't allow Adeeos to sweep him here.
Adeeos can't keep his opponent in guard - Tamatso advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Adeeos looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tamatso is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Adeeos is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
