Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Forest Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forest Lucas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Jones! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lucas lands a left hand.
Lucas has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jones has hold of one of Lucas's legs. Lucas is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lucas is trying to control the position from the bottom.

We're going to have a standup here because Forest Lucas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jones moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones tries to clinch up. Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lucas tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Lucas's guard. Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Lucas wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lucas keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones wants to pass the guard but Lucas is keeping the position. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lucas's head. Jones tries to stand but Lucas is controlling from the bottom. Lucas controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lucas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jones tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lucas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones content to stall in guard here. Jones working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lucas controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself. Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jones won't allow Lucas to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lucas shoots and misses and Jones counters with a stiff right hand. Jones goes for a double leg but Lucas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lucas continues to drive forward. Jones is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forest Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lucas is breathing heavily. Jones pulls guard successfully.
Jones is pulling down on Lucas's head. It's preventing any offense from Lucas, at least for the moment. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lucas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jones is pulling down on Lucas's head to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lucas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones feints and as Lucas raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lucas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Jones trying to control but Lucas is working from the bottom. Lucas trying to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anderson Jones. Lucas checks a low kick from Jones. Lucas shoots and misses and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand! Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lucas's guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Lucas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. Lucas is trying to keep Jones in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lucas is trying to keep Jones in close.
Lucas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Lucas has wrist control. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to stand up but Lucas won't let him. Lucas doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jones distracts Lucas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Lucas keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lucas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Jones is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Jones stands up and beckons Lucas to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Lucas shoots in. Jones moves into the clinch. Jones jumps into guard, dragging Lucas to the mat.
Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lucas's guard. Jones stays in close to Lucas's body and controls the position. Jones won't allow Lucas to sweep him here. Jones passes Lucas's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lucas is not content to let Jones control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lucas is trying is best to control the position here. Jones is taking a breather. Lucas says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lucas is trying to maintain the position but Jones is very close to passing his half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lucas is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lucas tries to land a knee to the head but Jones blocks with his arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lucas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones clinches up against the cage. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jones gets the takedown into side control. Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jones working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas manages to get back to half guard. Jones wants to work for an arm triangle but Lucas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones trying to mount his opponent but Lucas defends it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lucas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
