Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregorio Russell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Krazman! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krazman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Russell's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Krazman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Krazman trying to control the position from guard on top but Russell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Krazman won't allow Russell to get back to his feet. Russell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Russell wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Eric Krazman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Russell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Krazman tries to clinch but Russell moves out of range. Krazman throws a head kick that misses and Russell moves into the clinch. Russell keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Krazman's efforts to push away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russell is fighting off a takedown attempt but Krazman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Russell to the mat. Russell regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Russell has a closed guard, preventing Krazman from standing up. Krazman trying to control the position from guard on top but Russell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Russell manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Krazman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Krazman closes the distance looking to clinch and Russell counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krazman manages to pull guard.
Krazman wants to sweep but no luck. Russell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Krazman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Russell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Russell passes Krazman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Russell looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Krazman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Russell is thwarting Krazman's attempts to control the position. Russell is taking a breather. Krazman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gregorio Russell. Russell swats away the attempt to clinch by Krazman. Russell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Russell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Krazman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Krazman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Russell makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Russell. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krazman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Russell on his heels. He'll look to pass Russell's guard now, I'm sure. Russell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Krazman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Russell tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Krazman lands an elbow just above Russell 's eye.
It looks like Gregorio Russell has been cut. Russell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Krazman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russell keeping moving, preventing Krazman from controlling successfully. Krazman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Krazman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eric Krazman wasn't active enough on the ground. Krazman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Russell napping and manages to drive through into side control! Russell is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krazman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Russell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Krazman's guard! Nice work there by Russell! Krazman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Russell drops back looking for a leg! Krazman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krazman manages to kick Russell off! Russell jumps back into Krazman's guard. Russell postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Russell controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Krazman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Russell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Russell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Russell controls from within his opponent's guard.

Krazman being controlled here, momentarily. Russell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Russell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Russell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Eric Krazman is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Russell trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gregorio Russell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Russell wants to control from the top but Krazman keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Eric Krazman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Krazman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
