Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Barrantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schilling comes into the arena with Roy Jones - Can't be touched blaring out of the sound system. Barrantes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pinchers - Bandelero. Juan Barrantes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Barrantes! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barrantes misses with a takedown and Schilling counters with a takedown into side control. Schilling is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barrantes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schilling advances nicely into full mount. Barrantes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Schilling has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Schilling cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barrantes working to try and regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barrantes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Barrantes tries to buck Schilling off but Schilling is having none of it. Schilling is trying to get an arm triangle but Barrantes is defending well. Schilling is chipping away with strikes.
Schilling is looking to take a break and control but Barrantes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Barrantes tries to improve position but can't. Schilling tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Barrantes is looking for a sweep.

Schilling wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barrantes, who protects the arm well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barrantes is trying to improve his position. Schilling tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Schilling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barrantes keeps working. Schilling looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Schilling wants to control but Barrantes is keeping him busy.

But Barrantes has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Barrantes! Barrantes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Schilling working a defensive guard here.

Schilling is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Barrantes has his hands clasped together but Schilling extends and breaks Barrantes's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Schilling.
