Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Prior!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter wants to clinch.
Fighter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fighter tries to clinch there but Prior circles away.
Prior closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A lazy left from Fighter finds it's target.
We've been told by Fighter's head coaches at Hey Steve's Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fighter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Prior's head backwards.
Fighter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Prior momentarily.
Prior is rocked!
Prior glances at the clock... BAM! Fighter nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Prior crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Prior is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tourney Fighter!
Tourney Fighter decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
