Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crazy Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palmer's entrance music is DMX - X gon‘ give it to ya. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crazy Kure!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer just misses with a punch to the body.

Palmer gets a double leg takedown into Kure's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kure can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palmer controls the pace.

Kure is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Palmer is aware though and is defending well.
Palmer passes Kure's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Palmer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Palmer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kure wants to control but Palmer is keeping busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Santiago Palmer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Palmer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kure is trying to control but can't.
Palmer is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Palmer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santiago Palmer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kure fails in his attempt to clinch.
Santiago Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kure doesn't manage to clinch there - Palmer circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Palmer.

Kure gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Palmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kure swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Palmer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kure is trying to control the position but Palmer postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Palmer stays in close to Kure's body and controls the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Santiago Palmer just wasn't active enough.

Palmer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

You can see the frustration on Kure's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kure fails with an attempt to clinch.

Palmer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

You can see the frustration on Kure's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kure tries to buck Palmer off but Palmer is having none of it.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Santiago Palmer just wasn't active enough.
Kure tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Palmer defends well and Kure ends up having to push Palmer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Palmer has picked Kure up - he's going for a ride! Palmer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kure has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Palmer is working away from the top position though.

We're going to have a standup here because Santiago Palmer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kure moves in looking to clinch but Palmer pushes him off.

Palmer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kure to the ground. Palmer is now in Kure's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Palmer throws the kick towards the body but Kure avoids it.
Palmer misses with a wild body shot.

Palmer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kure looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kure is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Palmer content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Kure trying his best to control but Palmer has mounted him.
Kure wants to control but Palmer is having none of it.
Kure can't escape the position.
Palmer controlling from the full mount.
Kure has given up his back. Will we see Palmer going for some submissions?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Palmer misses with a punch to the head.
Palmer biding his time, controlling Kure.
Palmer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kure for as long as he can get away with.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Palmer is not going to allow Kure to sit and survive in this position.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kure wants to control his opponent's hands but Palmer gets his hands free.

Kure is really stuck here.
Palmer connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Kure to escape the position.

Palmer is looking for the choke from the back position but Kure is controlling his hands well.
Palmer really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kure.

And that's the end of the fight!
Santiago Palmer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Palmer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
