Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matsui Takamatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yahweh Falwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takamatsu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dogs of War. Falwell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Don't Stop Believing. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Matsui Takamatsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yahweh Falwell!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Falwell does no damage.
Falwell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Falwell throws a series of punches but Takamatsu moves out of range.
Falwell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takamatsu paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Falwell. Those never looked like landing.
Yahweh Falwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Falwell throws a nice looking combination but Takamatsu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Falwell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takamatsu circles away quickly and effectively.
Takamatsu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Falwell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Falwell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Takamatsu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Falwell's calf.
Takamatsu misses with a straight right.
A left and a right from Falwell both land. Nice combination.
Takamatsu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Falwell misses with a two punch combination.
Takamatsu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Falwell manages to avoid it.
Takamatsu takes a swing at Falwell's ribcage but misses.
Falwell wants to clinch up but Takamatsu keeps it at a distance.
Takamatsu swats away the attempt to clinch by Falwell.

Falwell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Falwell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Falwell is looking to clinch but Takamatsu is avoiding it.
Falwell looks to land a combination but Takamatsu avoids it well.
Takamatsu circles away from the clinch attempt
and Takamatsu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Falwell tries to clinch up.
Falwell throws a one two combo.

Takamatsu throws an overhand right that lands on Falwell's shoulder, as Falwell tries to avoid the shot.
Falwell misses with a series of wild punches.
Falwell moves away from the strike by Takamatsu.
Falwell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Takamatsu lands a head kick!
Takamatsu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Takamatsu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Falwell closes the distance and lands a one-two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falwell throws a right hand that Takamatsu ducks under and follows up with a left that Takamatsu also avoids with ease.
Takamatsu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A slow jab from Takamatsu misses its intended target.
Takamatsu getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Falwell throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Falwell misses with a few strikes there.

Falwell tries to close the distance and clinch but Takamatsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Takamatsu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Falwell misses with the combination.
Falwell moves away from the strike by Takamatsu.
Takamatsu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've been informed that Falwell has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Falwell lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Falwell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Falwell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takamatsu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A nice leg kick lands there from Takamatsu.
Falwell throws a right and a left that Takamatsu avoids nicely.
Takamatsu is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Falwell.
Falwell looks winded!
Takamatsu thuds a left hand into Falwell's body.
Takamatsu just misses with a punch to the body.
Takamatsu throws a solid leg kick but Falwell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Takamatsu.
Falwell closes the distance but Takamatsu moves to the side

so Takamatsu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Takamatsu drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Takamatsu as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Falwell screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Takamatsu! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Matsui Takamatsu!
A relieved looking Matsui Takamatsu thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Yahweh Falwell stepped up to the mic, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
