Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aatos Kesti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarkko Lato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarkko Lato has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Aatos Kesti's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aatos Kesti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarkko Lato! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kesti misses with a double jab
and Lato counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Lato fails to land the takedown. Kesti clinches up with Lato and pushes him back against the cage. Kesti breaks from the clinch.
Aatos Kesti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lato manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kesti on his heels. He'll look to pass Kesti's guard now, I'm sure. Kesti is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lato is working Kesti over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kesti pushes Lato off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lato looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kesti shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kesti was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kesti misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Lato is not content to let Kesti control the position. Kesti in side control lands a decent elbow. Kesti stands up. Kesti displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lato. Aatos Kesti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarkko Lato.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kesti gets caught flat footed, as Lato shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kesti wants to stand and escape but Lato is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kesti is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kesti pushes Lato off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Lato shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kesti as he jumps to the side. Kesti gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kesti preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kesti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lato is controlling him. Lato working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kesti wants to stand but Lato is controlling the position. Lato keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kesti's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lato makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Kesti on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kesti tries to get out of the position. Lato cracks Kesti with a solid left hand. Lato controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Lato working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lato lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lato works over Kesti with some ground and pound from guard. Lato chips away with some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lato pushes down on Kesti's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lato is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kesti is just riding it out for now. Lato eventually gives up the hold. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lato working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lato lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jarkko Lato dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kesti tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lato paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kesti dives in and scores a takedown into Lato's guard. Kesti trying to control but Lato is working from the bottom. Lato looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kesti throws a strike but Lato rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Lato stops Kesti from standing up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lato's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lato stops Kesti from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lato wants to control from the top but Kesti keeps moving. Lato throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lato stops Kesti from standing up. Jarkko Lato has got the better of the ground game so far. Lato is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lato passes Kesti's left leg - he's now in half guard. Lato not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lato lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kesti is trying to stand back up but Lato is controlling him
Kesti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lato on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lato is nestled in close to Kesti, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kesti avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lato. Kesti is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lato scores with a couple of nice shots. Kesti is trying to stand up here but Lato is controlling him well. Lato wants to work for an arm triangle but Kesti is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lato seems to be working for a kimura but Kesti defends the submission attempt. Kesti on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lato is trying to work for a kimura but Kesti is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lato working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lato is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lato is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lato takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lato stops Kesti from getting back to his feet.
Lato is looking for a kimura but Kesti is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lato to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jarkko Lato showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kesti looks to land a combination but Lato avoids it well. Kesti misses with a double jab
and Lato counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kesti fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lato to the ground. Kesti is now in Lato's guard. Lato is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kesti throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lato's body to avoid the submission. Lato has instead reached around Kesti's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lato arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
