Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogerio Cabral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Madison!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Madison misses its intended target.
Madison misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Madison gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cabral wants to pass the guard but Madison is keeping the position.
Cabral throws a strike but Madison rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Madison must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cabral working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Madison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Madison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cabral can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Madison controls the pace.
Cabral is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cabral has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Madison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Madison wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Cabral's closed guard. He's half up but Cabral has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Cabral pivots and extends the arm, Madison falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Cabral! Well done that man!
