Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roberts Jaunbruns!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jaunbruns counters by moving into the clinch.
Jaunbruns is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Jaunbruns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jaunbruns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jaunbruns is looking to take a break and control but Hess is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Roberts Jaunbruns hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jaunbruns pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Roberts Jaunbruns has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Hess gets tackled into the cage by Jaunbruns. Jaunbruns maintains the clinch.

Jaunbruns works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Hess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jaunbruns stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hess swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jaunbruns postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hess not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jaunbruns sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hess's guard.

Jaunbruns wants to work for an arm triangle but Hess is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jaunbruns seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hess does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Roberts Jaunbruns has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jaunbruns is thwarting Hess's attempts to control the position.
Jaunbruns seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jaunbruns thows a huge punch but Hess dodges it nicely.

Jaunbruns keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jaunbruns drives through and clinches with Hess against the cage.
Jaunbruns content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Jaunbruns is pulling down on Hess's head. It's preventing any offense from Hess, at least for the moment.
Jaunbruns wants to hit a switch here but Hess passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jaunbruns there!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jaunbruns slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Roberts Jaunbruns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Hess gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jaunbruns to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hess keeping moving, preventing Jaunbruns from controlling successfully.
Hess manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jaunbruns is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Hess working away from the top, dropping strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hess is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Hess prevents Jaunbruns from getting the reversal.
Hess avoids the attempt from Jaunbruns to control.
Jaunbruns is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jaunbruns tries to control Hess's body but Hess pushes him off. Jaunbruns squirms to his side and now Hess has his back!
Jaunbruns is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jaunbruns trying to control the hands but Hess won't let him.

Jaunbruns is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.
Roberts Jaunbruns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hess shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jaunbruns napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jaunbruns holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Jaunbruns trying to control but Hess flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

I would just about give that final round to Roberts Jaunbruns.
Well Jaunbruns has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
