Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nguyen has his foot on Sand's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sand works his way back into a safe position though.
Nguyen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sand defends it easily.
Sand pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nguyen is keeping the position for now.
Nguyen controls Sand momentarily but Sand frees himself.
Sand avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sand is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nguyen is just riding it out for now. Sand eventually gives up the hold.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sand can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rub Sand comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sand has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
