And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Stone!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.

Stone clinches up against the cage.
Young really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stone is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Young wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.

Stone jumps guard and drags Young to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Stone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Young defends it easily.

Young will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Young decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stone moves into the clinch.

Stone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Young sprawls well. Young wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.

Stone rushes Young and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Stone has Young pressed against the cage, preventing Young from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Young pulls Stone into guard.

Young has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stone stands up from Young's guard - Stone perhaps looking for a knockout.

Young has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stone.
Stone misses with a head kick.

Young clinches up against the cage.
Stone wants to take the fight to the mat but Young manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Stone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stone tries to clinch but Young is having none of it.

and Young counters with a right hand to the body.
Young shoots in looking for a takedown but Stone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Young's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stone has taken the fight to the clinch.
Young manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Stone landing some nice looking knees to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stone tries to pull guard but Young holds him up against the cage and eventually Stone drops back down to his feet.
Young wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stone gets caught flat footed, as Young shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Stone controls Young momentarily but Young frees himself.

Stone is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Young tries to break the clinch but Stone is controlling the position.

Stone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Stone rushes Young and presses him up against the cage.
Stone lands a body punch.
Young can't break the clinch.
Young is looking to control Stone's arms but Stone gets an underhook and turns him. Now Young has his back to the cage.

Stone breaks the clinch.

Stone moves into the clinch.

Stone manages to break the clinch.

Stone lands with a kick to the ribs.
Stone misses with a few strikes there.

Stone clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Young looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Young trying to control the position but instead, Stone has worked for underhooks and has pushed Young into the cage.
Young wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stone has him pressed against the cage.
Young is looking to break free of the clinch but Stone has double underhooks.

Stone throws a head kick but Young moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Young fails with the takedown

and Stone holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tony Stone seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Young wants to break free but Stone has control.

Stone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
