The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zyrex to the mat! Zyrex manages to get full guard.
Zyrex kicks Torres off and gets to his feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zyrex lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Torres has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Torres and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zyrex throws a right and a left that both miss.
Torres tries to clinch there but Zyrex circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torres lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Victor Zyrex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Zyrex.
Zyrex misses with a double jab
and Torres holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Zyrex dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Van Torres's cut.
That's time! Torres's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Torres manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zyrex on his heels. He'll look to pass Zyrex's guard now, I'm sure.
Torres stops Zyrex from standing up.
Torres would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Torres tries to free his leg and advance position but Zyrex is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Torres wants to control from the top but Zyrex keeps moving.

That kick from Zyrex tenderised Torres's leg. Torres is trying to keep his angry face on.

Zyrex wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Torres has him pressed against the cage.

Zyrex lands a knee to the head.
Torres tries to break the clinch but Zyrex is controlling the position.
Zyrex breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zyrex throws a right hand that Torres ducks under and follows up with a left that Torres also avoids with ease.
Zyrex throws a right and a left that both miss.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zyrex throws a head kick that misses.
Zyrex is breathing heavily.
Torres throws a head kick but Zyrex moves out of range.
Torres thows a leg kick but Zyrex checks it
and Zyrex counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Zyrex looks at the referee who does nothing so Zyrex lands a crushing right that sends Torres to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
