The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klavins tries to clinch there but Cole circles away.
Klavins lands a front kick.
Cole is trying hard to land a takedown here. Klavins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Klavins ducks under a wild hook from Cole.

Klavins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Klavins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cole is proving hard to escape from.

Cole is looking for a sweep.
Klavins misses with the ground and pound.
Cole knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Klavins on the ground.
Klavins misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Cole wants to get back to his feet but Klavins drags him back down.
Cole is breathing heavily.

Klavins is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cole is trying to escape and Klavins transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cole is forced to tap! Nice work there by Klavins! Very nice indeed!
