Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Mcguire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcguire gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcguire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mcguire really is a fat lump.
Silva wants to stand but Mcguire has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Silva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcguire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcguire is not content to let Silva control the position.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mcguire haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mcguire wants to control but Silva postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mcguire managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Silva.

Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mcguire has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by Mcguire.
Mcguire has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mcguire gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mcguire might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Mcguire is pulling down on Silva's head to control his posture.

Anderson Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Silva moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcguire creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Silva tries a body shot but Mcguire blocks it.
Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Mcguire has double underhooks.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcguire circles away.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Silva blocks the body kick.
Silva feints and as Mcguire raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva throws a strike aimed at the side of Mcguire's head but Mcguire avoids it well.

Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Silva throws a shot from downtown. Mcguire moves away and avoids it.
Mcguire lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Mcguire looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.

Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mcguire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Anderson Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva is just content to waste time from the top position. Mcguire takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Anderson Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
