Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slater takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Jasper Slater has been cut. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Slater! Jones tries to stand but Slater is controlling his head. Jones working the ground and pound but Slater is defending the strikes. Slater is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slater keeps working. Jones wants to stand but Slater has his arm trapped. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slater keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slater gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater wants to get back to full guard. Slater is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Slater working a defensive guard here.
Slater lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Jones has a closed guard, preventing Slater from standing up. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slater. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Slater is controlling him. Slater lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones working a defensive guard but Slater manages to pass into side control anyway.
Slater working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is working to avoid the ground and pound but Slater connects with a decent elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones manages to get back to half guard. Slater landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones tries to roll over but Slater keeps him under control. Slater winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Slater missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Slater wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Slater lands a nice shot to the head. Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Slater lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slater avoids the attempt from Jones to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jasper Slater will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jasper Slater's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Slater takes the fight into the clinch. Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Slater regains guard.
Slater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Slater keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Slater has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Slater haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Slater might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slater looking for a sweep. Not yet Slater, not yet.
Jon Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Slater clinches. A bit of stalling here from Slater.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slater ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Slater no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Slater has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Slater stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Slater! Slater stands up. Slater drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slater breaks from the clinch.
Slater tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Slater darts in and clinches Jones up against the cage. Slater is pushing Jones up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Jones jumps guard and drags Slater to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Slater works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slater content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Slater postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Slater has passed into half guard!
Jones is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to control but Slater manages to pass to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Slater landing strikes, looking to finish! Slater lands a couple of good shots and Jones has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Slater lands punches and elbows. Slater throwing damaging strikes from the back! Jones could be in trouble here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Slater is looking to control Jones's arms but Jones gets an underhook and turns him. Now Slater has his back to the cage. Jones gets control of Slater's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Slater decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Slater napping and manages to drive through into side control! Slater tries to escape but Jones is in control. Slater struggling a bit here. Slater sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slater tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Slater has his hands clasped together around Jones's back. He's all about the action. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Slater trying to control from the bottom.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Jones has clasped his hands together around Slater's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Slater struggling a bit here. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Slater prevents Jones from improving position. Slater wants to control but Jones postures up. Slater throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Slater stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slater.
And that's the end of the fight! Jasper Slater showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slater, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
