Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez lunges at Sasi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sasi's hand.
Sasi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Martinez wants to improve his position but Sasi is controlling well.
Martinez moves into full guard.
Sasi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sasi distracts Martinez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sasi lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Martinez has his foot on Sasi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sasi works his way back into a safe position though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sasi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Sasi throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sasi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sasi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martinez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sasi has managed to get both his arms back between Martinez's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sasi is posturing up here but Martinez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sasi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sasi has to tap! Slick submission there by Martinez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Johnny Martinez!
After the fight, Johnny Martinez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
