Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Page kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stoopid by Snot. Jimmy Page has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jimmy Page! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drew Paul! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Page shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Paul trying to control from the bottom.
Page trying to control the pace. Paul is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Page pulls his head out easily. Paul pushes Page off but Page dives into side control.
Paul holds on to Page's head and controls the position momentarily. Paul is trying to get back to half guard. Page stands up. Paul looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Page is fending him off so far but Paul persists. Nope, Page circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul gets in close and instigates a clinch. Paul trying to land knees to the body.

Page is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Paul can't fight it off and eventually Page manages to take the fight to the floor. Paul looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Page showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Page has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Page passes Paul's left leg - he's now in half guard. Paul looks gassed! Still in half guard, Page seems content to control. Page is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Page in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paul is looking to control Page's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Paul avoid being mounted? Page wants to control but Paul is keeping him busy. Page perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Page seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paul does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Page tries to stand but can't do so whilst Paul controls his leg.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Paul has his takedown stuffed and Page counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Page. Page sitting in guard, not really doing much. Page might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Page is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Paul punching from the bottom.
Page seems to be looking for submissions.
Page could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Paul is trying to stand up here but Page is controlling him well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Page looks to land a combination but Paul avoids it well. Page looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Page is figuring out what he wants to do next. Page seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paul does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Paul tries to kick Page off in order to stand up. Page Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

You can see the frustration on Paul's face as Page controls the position. Paul gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Paul is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Paul is looking to clinch. Jimmy Page is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Page decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Page seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Paul does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Page is controlling the pace.

Page stays in close to Paul's body and controls the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Paul looking to control.

Page with shots to the head and body - Paul looks very uncomfortable down there. Paul is desperately trying to improve his position but Page has a good base and remains in mount. Page looking to control but Paul is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Page content just to control the position here. Page gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

The fight stays on the outside here - Page looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Paul darts in trying to clinch and Page counters with a single leg into guard. Paul didn't expect that. Page slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Page postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Page advances position into side control! Paul tries to bench press Page off him but Page keeps the position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Paul manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Paul wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Page manages to pass to side control. Page passes the guard and advances to mount! Page wants to finish this one by submission but Paul is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Page. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Page clearly takes that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Page fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Paul looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Paul tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Page paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jimmy Page seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Page instigates a clinch. Page is trying to break the clinch but Paul has him pressed against the ropes. Page changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Paul fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Paul throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Page's waist but Page gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paul off to one side. Paul ducks under a wild hook from Page. Page scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Page looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Paul! Paul gets back to half guard. Paul has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Page. Oh but Paul has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Page goes limp - he's gone! Paul jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
