PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mack Wiatrzyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Mcgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgregor has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgregor moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wiatrzyk tries to close the distance and clinch but Mcgregor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wiatrzyk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Still in half guard, Wiatrzyk seems content to control.
Mcgregor looks winded!
Mcgregor pushes Wiatrzyk off looking to stand but Wiatrzyk dives back in and keeps control.

Wiatrzyk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcgregor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mack Wiatrzyk.

Wiatrzyk uses his free foot to push down on Mcgregor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mcgregor.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mack Wiatrzyk.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wiatrzyk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
