Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ant Avent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nymann Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ant Avent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nymann Junior! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avent throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Junior's head. Junior takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Avent closes the distance and clinches. Junior stalling the fight.
Junior swings wildly with an uppercut but Avent uses good head movement to avoid it. Junior is trying to pull guard but Avent turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Junior keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Avent's efforts to push away. Junior breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Junior throws a leg kick and Avent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Avent has closed the distance and engaged Junior in a clinch.
Junior tries to circle away but Avent has him pinned against the cage. Junior manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Avent postures up in Junior's guard and throws a big left but Junior blocks it. Avent throwing strikes but missing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Avent stands up and waves to Junior to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior throws a leg kick and Avent counters with a big head kick but Junior shrugs it off. Junior drives through and clinches with Avent against the cage.
Avent goes for a takedown attempt but Junior pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Junior pushes Avent up against the cage in a clinch. Junior dodges an elbow strike from Avent.
Junior jumps guard.
Avent tries to stand but Junior is controlling from the bottom. Avent trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. Junior is trying to keep Avent in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior wants to stand but Avent is controlling the position. Junior has his hands on Avent's head, controlling the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Junior clinches up against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Junior can't get the takedown.

Junior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Junior looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Avent missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Junior not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Avent preventing the sweep. Avent would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Junior is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Junior wants to sweep but no luck. Avent got a little sloppy there for a moment and Junior has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Avent has managed to get both his arms back between Junior's legs - danger averted. Junior had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Avent defends it easily. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Junior can do anything to dispel that myth. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Junior is on top in guard.
We've been informed that Junior has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Junior wants to control from the top but Avent keeps moving. Avent is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. A close round but Nymann Junior will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Junior keeps control of Avent as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Junior has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Avent avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Junior jumps guard and drags Avent to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Avent is looking to stand up but Junior won't let him. Junior looking to control but Avent passes into half guard.

Avent wants to get back to his feet.
Junior looking for a kimura from the bottom but Avent passes into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avent grinds an elbow into Junior's temple. Avent stands up and beckons Junior to his feet. Junior throws a leg kick that misses. Avent darts in and clinches Junior up against the cage. Avent goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Avent with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Avent working hard to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A frustrated look appears on Junior's face as he tries to break the clinch. Junior stalling in the clinch.
Avent is fighting off a takedown attempt but Junior is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Avent to the mat. Avent regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior looking to pass the guard. Junior trying to control the position from guard on top but Avent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Junior must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Junior pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Avent is keeping the position for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Junior trying to control the position from guard on top but Avent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Junior tries to lock up and control but Avent gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Avent looking to control but Junior is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Junior holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Avent tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Nymann Junior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Avent won't allow Junior to get back to his feet. Junior not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Junior attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Junior gets in close and instigates a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Avent's face as he tries to break the clinch. Avent looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Junior works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Junior slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Junior missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Avent wants to sweep but no luck. Avent keeping moving, preventing Junior from controlling successfully.

A head punch on the inside from Avent fails to land. Junior ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Junior no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Junior wants to stand but Avent is controlling the position. Avent stands up from Junior's guard - Avent perhaps looking for a knockout. Junior closes the distance and clinches. Junior has Avent pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Junior pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Avent tumbling to the mat - Junior dives into Avent's guard. Ant Avent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Avent keeping moving, preventing Junior from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nymann Junior was stalling too much, according to the referee. Avent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Junior's waist but Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Avent off to one side. Junior pivots, looking for a leg kick but Avent is out of range and Junior settles back down. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Junior instigates a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Avent jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Junior walks away with a smile on his face. Avent gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Nymann Junior is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ant Avent. That's going to take a lot out of him. Avent blocks a low kick nicely. Junior is looking to chop away at Avent's legs.
And that's the end of the fight! Nymann Junior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Junior winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
