The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Fran wants to slow Taphorn down by chopping away at his legs.
Taphorn scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Taphorn swings for the body but De Fran moves out of range.

Andr De Fran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Fran misses with a looping left.
Taphorn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. De Fran manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Taphorn throws a big right hand that misses.

Taphorn pushes down on De Fran's leg and manages to get into half guard.
De Fran is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Taphorn has latched onto it... Big trouble! Taphorn pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it De Fran is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Taphorn!
