The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
usa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
usa looking for a guillotine from mount but Ostermalm is having none of it.
Ostermalm is squirming around, avoiding usa's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ostermalm is working to get back to half guard.
usa has control of Ostermalm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ostermalm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ostermalm is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ostermalm looks gassed!
usa is trying to take his opponent's back.
A nice elbow there by usa.
That's one minute gone in the round.
usa wants to control the pace but Ostermalm is squirming around nicely.
usa seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Ostermalm is holding on tight.
usa looking to secure an arm triangle but Ostermalm defends it well.
Ostermalm tries to buck usa off but he can't manage it.
usa lands with some strikes.
usa working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
usa with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

usa goes for an armbar but Ostermalm turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ostermalm.
Ostermalm stands up and waves to usa to follow him.
Ostermalm has his takedown stuffed
and usa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ostermalm's guard now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
usa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
usa lands a couple of elbows.
usa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

usa wants to control from the top but Ostermalm keeps moving.
usa looking to pass the guard.
usa postures up and lands a big shot to Ostermalm's brow.
Ostermalm throws a couple of heel strikes.
Ostermalm seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
usa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ostermalm is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of usa, into his guard.
Ostermalm is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but usa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Ostermalm is looking to defend but usa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Ostermalm! usa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Ostermalm taps out and this one is all over!
