Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Karneres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Opdauhl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opdauhl misses with a wild combination.
Opdauhl fakes the leg kick and cracks Karneres in the body.
Karneres takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Opdauhl lands with a nice body punch.
Opdauhl misses the shot to the body.
Opdauhl has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Karneres is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Karneres is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Opdauhl.
Karneres throws a series of punches but Opdauhl moves out of range.
Opdauhl throws a head kick that half lands.

Opdauhl lands with an uppercut that bounces Karneres off the ropes and back into range.

Opdauhl thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Karneres if he has to take too many more of those.

Karneres ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Opdauhl moves away.
Opdauhl punishes Karneres's body with a nice straight punch.

Opdauhl scores with a kick to the midsection.
Opdauhl feints a jab promting Karneres to slip. Opdauhl then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Karneres slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Karneres clinches with his opponent.
Opdauhl lands a right hand that snaps the head of Karneres backwards.
Karneres misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Opdauhl lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Opdauhl lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Karneres is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Karneres looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Opdauhl connects with a leg kick. Karneres looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Opdauhl goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Opdauhl Throws a clean left jab. Opdauhl Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Karneres's chin! Karneres crumbles to the ground and Opdauhl follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Opdauhl!
