Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herschel Whitehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Jotko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Herschel Whitehead! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krzysztof Jotko! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jotko misses with a few strikes there.
Whitehead shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jotko defends it nicely. Jotko lands a left and a right that send Whitehead crashing to the mat, dazed. Jotko thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Herschel Whitehead has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whitehead has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jotko. Jotko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Whitehead closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jotko circles away. Jotko darts in looking for a takedown but Whitehead gets double underhooks and turns Jotko into the cage. Whitehead pushes off an throws an elbow but Jotko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jotko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Whitehead misses with a takedown attempt - Jotko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herschel Whitehead. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jotko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Whitehead defends it nicely. Whitehead shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Whitehead showed some decent athleticism there. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Whitehead with the ground and pound but Jotko uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitehead throws a big elbow that misses. Whitehead missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jotko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jotko told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Whitehead working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Whitehead postures up in Jotko's guard and throws a big left but Jotko blocks it. Jotko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Whitehead throws a strike but Jotko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jotko prevents Whitehead from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitehead wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jotko is now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitehead is looking to control Jotko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whitehead avoid being mounted? Jotko stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Jotko moves into range and clinches up with Whitehead. Whitehead manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jotko falls off balance throwing a combination
and Whitehead counters with a left to the body. Jotko looks winded! Whitehead shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jotko as he jumps to the side. Jotko lands a slapping body shot.
Whitehead throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jotko's waist but Jotko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Whitehead off to one side. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Whitehead stuffs the takedown. Whitehead closes the distance and clinches up with Jotko, looking for a takedown. Whitehead pushes Jotko against the cage but Jotko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whitehead is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jotko. Jotko dives in for a single leg takedown but Whitehead sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Whitehead breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Whitehead tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jotko counters with a single leg into guard. Whitehead didn't expect that. Jotko prevents Whitehead from getting back to his feet. Whitehead is trying to keep Jotko in close.
Jotko trying to control the position from guard on top but Whitehead is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jotko has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Whitehead is proving hard to escape from. Jotko is breathing heavily.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Whitehead throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Horrible takedown attempt by Whitehead or perhaps it was just good defense by Jotko, which made it look bad. Whitehead on the wrong end of a nice hook. Whitehead takes a swing at Jotko's ribcage but misses. Whitehead keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jotko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Whitehead but Whitehead pushes him off and we're back to square one. Herschel Whitehead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Jotko.

Jotko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Whitehead stuffs the takedown attempt from Jotko. Jotko gets slowly back to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whitehead.

Whitehead circles away from the clinch attempt and Whitehead connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Whitehead avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jotko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Whitehead backs up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jotko tries to clinch up. Whitehead shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jotko as he jumps to the side. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jotko. Jotko misses with a hook to the body
letting Whitehead counter with a right hand. Jotko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Whitehead looks for a takedown but Jotko sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Krzysztof Jotko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Herschel Whitehead's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Whitehead is defended easily by Jotko. Krzysztof Jotko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jotko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Whitehead paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jotko throws a lazy right hand but Whitehead sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jotko shoots for a double leg takedown but Whitehead sprawls well. He's pushed Jotko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Herschel Whitehead is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jotko throws a right hand that Whitehead ducks under and follows up with a left that Whitehead also avoids with ease. Whitehead showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jotko.
Jotko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Whitehead misses with a takedown attempt - Jotko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Whitehead fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herschel Whitehead. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jotko works over Whitehead's head and body with a nice combination. Jotko wants to clinch up but Whitehead keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitehead fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jotko avoids it really well and circles away. Jotko leaves Whitehead with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jotko darts in looking for a takedown but Whitehead gets double underhooks and turns Jotko into the cage. Whitehead is trying to maintain a safe position but Jotko gets an underhook and turns Whitehead into the cage. Jotko misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Whitehead.

Horrible takedown attempt by Whitehead or perhaps it was just good defense by Jotko, which made it look bad. Krzysztof Jotko seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jotko throws a big shot that misses. Whitehead feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Whitehead working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Whitehead landing with the ground and pound. Jotko is working an open guard so Whitehead takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Herschel Whitehead showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jotko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
