Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Dirty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mac Dirty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Sun God Ra!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ra clinches up with Dirty and pushes him back against the cage.

Dirty turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dirty manages to end up in side control.
Ra wants to control but Dirty postures up.
Dirty working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Dirty fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Dirty is working Ra over with some ground and pound from side control.
Dirty working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Ra regains half guard, as Dirty was trying to land strikes.
We've been hearing good reports from Dirty's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Dirty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dirty looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ra with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dirty wants to control but Ra is keeping him busy.

Dirty is looking to take a break and control but Ra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dirty missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Dirty wants to take a breather but Ra is having none of it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dirty lands a nice short elbow.
Dirty throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ra blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dirty.
Dirty takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Ra is not content to let Dirty control the position.

Dirty thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ra's head.
Ra is trying to stand back up but Dirty is controlling him
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dirty not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ra is trying to maintain the position but Dirty is very close to passing his half guard.

Ra is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dirty scores with a couple of nice shots.
Dirty prevents Ra from improving his position.
Dirty lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ra wants to improve his position but Dirty is controlling well.
Dirty seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Ra won't allow Dirty to pass to mount.
Ra is trying to get back to full guard.
Ra regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dirty.
Dirty loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ra controls Dirty momentarily but Dirty frees himself.

Dirty postures up in Ra's guard and throws a big left but Ra blocks it.
Ra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dirty postures up in Ra's guard and throws a big left but Ra blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dirty with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ra being controlled here, momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Dirty dominated that round.

Dirty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ra counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dirty shoots for a double leg takedown but Ra sprawls well. He's pushed Dirty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mac Dirty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dirty fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mac Dirty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dirty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ra but Ra pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ra scores with a jab. Dirty acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ra throws a body punch but Dirty moves out of range.
Dirty shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dirty closes the distance and clinches up with Ra, looking for a takedown. Dirty pushes Ra against the cage but Ra circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dirty shoots in and drives through. Ra sprawls well.

Dirty shoots in but Ra avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dirty swats away the attempt to clinch by Ra.
Dirty drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The Sun God Ra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ra tests Dirty's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ra misses with a series of wild punches.
Ra lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ra.
Ra jabs Dirty right on the nose. Dirty blinks but takes it well.
Ra throws a jab but it's blocked by Dirty.

Dirty doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ra cracks Dirty with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ra looks to land a right hand but Dirty moved out of range.
Ra misses the shot to the body.
Dirty shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ra defends it nicely.
Dirty slips under a jab.
Ra has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Mac Dirty is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Ra counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Ra lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

so Ra counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Dirty keeping moving, preventing Ra from controlling successfully.
Ra throws a big elbow that misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ra trying to control the position from guard on top but Dirty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ra is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Ra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dirty works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ra throws a strike but Dirty rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dirty is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ra not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Sun God Ra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Dirty tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ra swivels and escapes.
Ra is looking to clinch.
The Sun God Ra seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ra lands a slapping body shot.
Dirty walks into a jab.
Dirty sizes up Ra with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dirty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ra counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mac Dirty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dirty takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dirty shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ra as he avoids it easily.
Ra throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dirty on the side of the head.
Dirty's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ra connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dirty scrambles back to his feet.

and Ra counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ra lands with a nice body punch.

A jab from Ra finds it's way through Dirty's defenses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ra scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Dirty moves into the clinch successfully.
Ra lands a right hand.
Ra tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dirty's elbow.
Ra unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Ra controlling the action here for a moment.
Ra is looking to control Dirty's arms but Dirty gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ra has his back to the cage.
Ra lands a body punch in the clinch.
Ra throws an elbow but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dirty tries to score a body lock takedown but Ra shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ra tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ra can't find room to land a body shot as Dirty controls the action.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dirty as Ra tries to tie him up.
Dirty can't get the takedown.
Dirty takes a knee to the side of the body.
Dirty blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ra doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Dirty goes for a takedown attempt but Ra pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ra tests Dirty's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Dirty closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ra did well to prevent Dirty getting side control.

Ra has one foot on Dirty's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Ra slaps away a takedown attempt from Dirty, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dirty avoids the body shot from Ra.
Nice takedown defense from Ra. No joy for Dirty on that attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
The Sun God Ra comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ra has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
