Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sobieski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Sebastien Veron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juan Sebastien Veron!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veron just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice defenses there by Veron.
A decent looking cross lands there for Veron.
Veron looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Veron scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Veron buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sobieski moves out of range of the leg kick from Veron.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Veron has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Veron throws the left hand but Sobieski avoids the punch easily.
Sobieski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sobieski.
Veron misses with a wild combination.
Veron misses with a wild body shot.
Veron shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sobieski is not content to let Veron control the position.

Sobieski manages to get to full guard.
Sobieski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Veron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Veron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sobieski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Veron can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Veron lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Veron postures up in Sobieski's guard and throws a big left but Sobieski blocks it.
