Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick McWhiskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esa Tikkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McWhiskey kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪. Tikkanen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bring The Pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWhiskey lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McWhiskey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Tikkanen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McWhiskey.

McWhiskey takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McWhiskey connects with a good right hand that stumbles Tikkanen. Tikkanen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

I was talking to McWhiskey's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Tikkanen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McWhiskey escapes and throws Tikkanen's legs to the side, diving into side control!

McWhiskey gets to mount! Tikkanen was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McWhiskey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tikkanen is trying to reverse the position but instead McWhiskey has taken his back - oops!

A close round but Esa Tikkanen will probably get the nod.

BOOM! Tikkanen lands a beautiful left hook that drops McWhiskey. McWhiskey tries to recover but Tikkanen is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and McWhiskey lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
