Russo throws an overhand right that lands on Manoel's shoulder, as Manoel tries to avoid the shot.
Manoel throws a big shot that misses.
Russo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Manoel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Manoel misses with a jab to the body
and Russo counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Antonio Manoel has been cut.
Russo needs to keep his hands up - Manoel had a free shot at his head there.
Manoel looks to land a left hand but Russo moved out of range nicely.
Manoel feints a jab promting Russo to slip. Manoel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Russo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Leeroy Russo has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Manoel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Russo throws an off balance right hand
and Manoel makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Manoel throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Russo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Manoel throws an overhand right that lands on Russo's shoulder, as Russo tries to avoid the shot.
Russo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Manoel drops Russo with a huge uppercut! Russo drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Manoel is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antonio Manoel!
A relieved looking Antonio Manoel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
