PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mangar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remark Kabelis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remark Kabelis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Remark Kabelis!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kabelis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kabelis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Mangar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kabelis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kabelis working his ground and pound in the gym.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kabelis lands a nice short elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kabelis is nestled in close to Mangar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Oh Mangar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kabelis lands a big elbow - Mangar is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Kabelis!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Remark Kabelis!
