Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juan Barrantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barrantes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pinchers - Bandelero. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Barrantes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin Perez! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Perez. Perez throws a big shot that misses. Perez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Barrantes fails with the takedown and Perez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Perez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Barrantes sprawls well initially but Perez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Barrantes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Perez scoring with strikes to the body and head. Perez wants to take a breather but Barrantes is having none of it. Barrantes gets back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Perez trying to control the position from guard on top but Barrantes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barrantes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Perez stacks Barrantes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Perez!
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez controls the position. Perez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Perez cracks Barrantes with a big right hand but Barrantes just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Barrantes is looking for a sweep. Perez in side control lands a decent elbow. Perez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Perez working the head with strikes. Perez wants to control but Barrantes is keeping him busy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barrantes tries to buck Perez off but Perez is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez scoring with punches from side control. Barrantes is looking for a sweep. Barrantes takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Perez working the head and body with strikes.
Barrantes is rocked! Perez landing strikes. Oh Barrantes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Perez cracks Barrantes with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Perez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Barrantes is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Perez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marvin Perez! Marvin Perez was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
