Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Seigel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miesha Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Seigel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miesha Tate!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seigel closes the distance and pushes Tate back into the cage.
Tate creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Seigel has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tate clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tate defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Good control from Seigel.
Seigel wants to control but Tate is keeping busy.
Seigel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tate is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tate turns into Seigel and is now in his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tate wants to get up but he can't break Seigel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Seigel controls Tate momentarily but Tate frees himself.
We're going to have a standup here because Jeremy Seigel wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tate slaps away a takedown attempt from Seigel, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Seigel is looking to clinch but Tate is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tate.
Seigel wants to clinch up but Tate keeps it at a distance.
Tate throws a right and a left that Seigel avoids nicely.
Seigel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tate paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tate pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Seigel counters with a leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Seigel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Seigel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seigel wants to control but Tate is keeping him busy.
Seigel takes a little break here. Tate wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Tate struggling a bit here.
Tate tries to bench press Seigel off him but Seigel keeps the position.
Seigel controls the position from side control.
Tate wants to control but Seigel postures up.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Seigel in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Tate tries to bum rush Seigel with a series of wild strikes but Seigel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tate shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seigel pinned against the cage. Seigel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Seigel moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tate tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Seigel counters by moving into the clinch.
Seigel is trying to pull guard but Tate turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Seigel wants a takedown but no success here.
Seigel is trying to drag Tate to the mat but Tate just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Seigel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tate has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Seigel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Tate is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seigel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tate has his takedown stuffed
and Seigel counters with a body kick that stops Tate in his tracks momentarily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tate looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Seigel tries to keep at a distance but Tate has taken the fight into the clinch.

Seigel pulls guard successfully.
Seigel is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tate rolls with it to try and escape but Seigel cranks on the arm and Tate is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
