Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Ce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoggets tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hoggets has Ce up against the cage in a clinch.
Hoggets is working for takedown but Ce is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ce lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ce is trying to break the clinch but Hoggets has him pressed against the cage.
Hoggets works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Hoggets is looking to work some ground and pound but Ce has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hoggets accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ce has his foot on Hoggets's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hoggets works his way back into a safe position though.
Ce has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ce can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hoggets controls the pace.

Hoggets thows a huge punch but Ce dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hoggets lands a nice short elbow.

Hoggets looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ce with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hoggets is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hoggets working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You get the feeling that Ce really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's time! Ce's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ce connects with a right hand. Hoggets shakes it off.
Hoggets throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ce defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoggets.
Frankie Hoggets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A bone on bone clash there as Hoggets blocks the leg kick.

Ce lands a nice hook to Hoggets's body. Hoggets takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Hoggets looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ce is fending him off so far but Hoggets persists. Nope, Ce circles away and we're back to standing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Hoggets is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ce.
The fighters circling - Hoggets throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hoggets is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ce's half guard.
Frankie Hoggets has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hoggets is nestled in close to Ce, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ce has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoggets is working away from the top position though.

Hoggets cracks Ce with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hoggets is working to tighten his grip on Ce's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ce has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hoggets is really squeezing tight and eventually Ce passes out! Hoggets breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
