The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pranjic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Goodman is trying to defend but Pranjic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pranjic seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pranjic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Pranjic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goodman's waist but Goodman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pranjic off to one side.

Pranjic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goodman walks away with a smile on his face. Pranjic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Goodman shoots in looking for a takedown but Pranjic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Goodman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
