Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Farndale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maniek Elbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Maniek Elbow! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farndale scores with a takedown into Elbow's guard. Elbow wants to stand and escape but Farndale is having none of it. Farndale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Elbow working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Farndale. Elbow working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Farndale. Farndale might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Farndale throws a strike but Elbow rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Elbow throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Elbow's corner is telling him to maintain position. Farndale not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Elbow misses with a wild combination.
Elbow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Farndale scores with a nice right hand.
Elbow gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Farndale to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Farndale trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Elbow wants to get back to his feet but Farndale is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Elbow throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Elbow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Farndale defends it easily. Elbow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Elbow trying to keep a closed guard but Farndale is proving a slippery customer.
Farndale postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Elbow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Farndale throws a big right hand that misses. Farndale wants to pass the guard but Elbow is keeping the position. Elbow has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Farndale is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Elbow manages to break the clinch.
Farndale feints and as Elbow raises his hands in defense, Farndale changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Farndale working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Farndale is breathing heavily. Elbow controls Farndale momentarily but Farndale frees himself. Farndale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elbow on the ground. Elbow pushes a forearm under Farndale's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Farndale is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
