Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Verde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Verde will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dylan Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Verde!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Stewart, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Verde shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stewart sprawls well. Stewart wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Verde gets slowly back to his feet.
Stewart really is a fat lump.
Stewart tries to clinch but Verde moves out of range.

Verde dives in and scores a takedown into Stewart's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Stewart seems keen to control Verde's posture.

Stewart looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Verde decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stewart to his feet.
Verde looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stewart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Verde is fending him off so far but Stewart persists. Nope, Verde circles away and we're back to standing.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Stewart working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Verde doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Verde manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stewart thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Stewart might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stewart is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Verde is aware though and is defending well.

Verde gets to his feet. Stewart looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Verde feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Verde passes Stewart's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Verde stalling.
Verde wants to stand up but Stewart is controlling the position.

Verde decides to stand back up. Verde steps back and let's Stewart get back to his feet.
Carlos Verde is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Verde has a takedown stuffed.
Verde shoots for a takedown but Stewart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Verde throws a right and a left that Stewart avoids nicely.

Verde bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stewart is looking to regain half guard here but Verde keeps moving and retains side control.
Stewart is trying to control Verde's posture but Verde avoids it.
Stewart tries to get back to half guard but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stewart tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Verde presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Verde showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Stewart shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Verde as he avoids it easily.

Verde drives through and clinches with Stewart against the cage.

Verde breaks from the clinch.
Stewart scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Verde shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stewart pinned against the cage. Stewart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch but Verde swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stewart misses with a body punch
and Verde counters with an inside leg kick.

Verde goes for a double leg but Stewart avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stewart continues to drive forward.
Stewart wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Verde has him pressed against the cage.

Verde manages to break the clinch.

Verde moves into range and clinches up with Stewart.
Verde prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stewart is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Verde gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Stewart. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Verde wants the takedown. Stewart is fighting it off but Verde persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Stewart's guard against the cage.
Verde is looking to work some ground and pound but Stewart has wrist control.

Stewart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Verde defends well.

Stewart is looking to control Verde's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stewart avoid being mounted?

Verde controlling the position well here. Stewart rolled but Verde kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Carlos Verde comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Verde has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
