Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tomilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomilson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bout that Life kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Tomilson.
Tomilson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Clifton Barnes has been cut.
Tomilson thows a body kick. Barnes tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Barnes leaves Tomilson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tomilson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barnes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barnes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tomilson backs up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnes misses with a leg kick.
Barnes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Barnes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Barnes attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Barnes misses with a low kick as Tomilson jumps back.
Tomilson cracks the inside of Barnes's front leg.

Tomilson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Barnes is trying to defend but Tomilson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tomilson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tomilson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Barnes to regain full guard.
Tomilson won't allow Barnes to sweep him here.
Barnes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tomilson wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving.

Tomilson looks up at the clock and then as Barnes takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tomilson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tomilson is looking to take a break and control but Barnes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A big shot lands for Tomilson! That's hurt Barnes! Will he recover? Tomilson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
