Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Mclaughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unit Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jasper Mclaughlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Unit Four!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Four fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mclaughlin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Four did well to prevent Mclaughlin getting side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mclaughlin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Four defending well though.
Mclaughlin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Four is trying to get back to full guard.
Mclaughlin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Four is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mclaughlin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Four on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Jasper Mclaughlin will probably get the nod.

Four fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mclaughlin to the ground. Four is now in Mclaughlin's guard.
Mclaughlin is pulling down on Four's head to control his posture.

Four throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Four takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Unit Four has got the better of the ground game so far.

Four is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mclaughlin is surviving well by controlling Four's body position as best he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mclaughlin tries to lock up and control but Four gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Unit Four showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Mclaughlin is fighting to break Four's control of his arms but Four is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Four wants to stand and escape but Mclaughlin is having none of it.
Four is wriggling around but Mclaughlin manages to pass to half guard.
Four tries to get to full guard but Mclaughlin has control of the leg.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mclaughlin lands a nice short elbow.
Four is looking to control Mclaughlin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Four avoid being mounted?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Four thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mclaughlin trying to control but Four flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Unit Four comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Four has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
