Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Ashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Rodecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Ashley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Rodecker! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodecker throws a series of punches but Ashley moves out of range. Rodecker forces Ashley back against the cage and clinches. Rodecker is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rodecker prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rodecker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rodecker misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ashley.
Ashley is looking to take this one to the mat. Rodecker is trying to break the clinch but Ashley is controlling him. Rodecker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ashley tries to break free but Rodecker pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodecker tightens his grip and picks Ashley up, before dumping him to the ground. Ashley manages to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rodecker sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ashley trying to keep a closed guard but Rodecker is proving a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rodecker throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodecker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A jab lands there for Rodecker.
It looks like Charlie Ashley has been cut. Rodecker throws a series of punches but Ashley avoids them all with ease. Rodecker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ashley manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Rodecker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ashley is proving hard to escape from. Rodecker postures up.
Rodecker gets to his feet - Ashley follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ashley is trying to force a seperation but Rodecker has the dominant position. Ashley wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Ashley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rodecker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ashley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ashley jumps guard but Rodecker stands there with Ashley around his waist. Ashley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ashley is trying to drag Rodecker to the mat but Rodecker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rodecker is looking to break free of the clinch but Ashley has double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Rodecker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Charlie Ashley's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rodecker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rodecker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rodecker trying to pass the guard but Ashley defending well. Ashley trying to hold on to Rodecker's head to control him but Rodecker postures up.
Ashley tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Rodecker blocks the strikes from Ashley.

Michael Rodecker has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ashley gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ashley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rodecker's efforts to push away. Ashley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rodecker to keep the fight standing. Rodecker tries to circle away but Ashley has him pinned against the cage. Ashley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rodecker avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

and Ashley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Michael Rodecker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rodecker tries to bum rush Ashley with a series of wild strikes but Ashley uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rodecker misses with a series of wild punches.
Rodecker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Rodecker throws a series of punches but Ashley avoids them all with ease. A looping hook to the body misses from Ashley. Rodecker does a little dance to reset his feet. Rodecker gets a takedown into half guard. Ashley keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodecker in particular looking to stall. Ashley trying to control but Rodecker postures up.

Rodecker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rodecker prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ashley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A right-left combo lands from Rodecker. Ashley gets tackled into the cage by Rodecker. Rodecker maintains the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodecker pulls guard effortlessly. Ashley stops Rodecker from standing up. Rodecker has his feet on Ashley's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Rodecker has managed to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rodecker takes a shot right to the bread basket. Rodecker misses with a double jab.
Ashley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodecker scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Ashley slips a jab and a cross from Rodecker.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rodecker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ashley circles away quickly and effectively. Ashley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rodecker looks to land a combination but Ashley avoids it well. Charlie Ashley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Michael Rodecker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ashley misses with a wild body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Rodecker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rodecker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
