Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Katsu Masa!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masa pushes Young up against the cage in a clinch.
Young stalling in the clinch but Masa improves position.

Young jumps guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Masa content to stall in guard here.
Young looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Masa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Katsu Masa was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Masa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Young sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Masa or perhaps it was just good defense by Young, which made it look bad.
Young tries to clinch but Masa moves out of range.

Young leaves Masa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Young seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Masa for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Keith Young wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Young counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Young tries to clinch but Masa is having none of it.
Masa shoots in for a takedown but Young shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Young keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Masa looks for a takedown but Young sprawls well.
Katsu Masa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masa goes for a double leg but Young avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Young continues to drive forward.

Masa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Young pulls his leg out and moves away.

Young has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Masa after a bit of a struggle.

Masa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Masa jumps guard but Young turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Masa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Young is defending well for now.
Young struggles to land a body shot inside as Masa controls his hands.
Young is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Masa is defending well.
Young is looking to break free of the clinch but Masa has double underhooks.

Masa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Masa tries to close the distance and clinch but Young swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Katsu Masa seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Young is trying to maintain a safe position but Masa gets an underhook and turns Young into the cage.

Katsu Masa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Masa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Masa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masa stops Young from standing up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Masa wants to control from the top but Young keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Masa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Keith Young has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Katsu Masa is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keith Young.
I think Masa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
