Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Ortiz tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ortiz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ortiz throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ortiz just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice body punch from Ortiz.
Jones defending well as Ortiz loads up on a big left hand.
Ortiz scores with a shot to the body.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Ortiz sprawls well.

Ortiz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jones asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ortiz bucks up and tries to throw Jones off but instead Jones has got his back!
Ortiz is trying to get back to his feet but Jones has full control of the position and if anything, Ortiz has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Jones is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Jones's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Jones is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jones gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jones gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jones apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ortiz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ortiz throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Ortiz, which made it look bad.

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ortiz as he jumps to the side.

and Ortiz counters with a straight right hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ortiz tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ortiz to the ground. Ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ortiz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sloppy strikes from Ortiz. Those never looked like landing.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ortiz circles away quickly and effectively.
Vince Ortiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ortiz defends it nicely.
Ortiz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ortiz throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Ortiz misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

No joy there for Ortiz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ortiz misses with a two punch combination.
Ortiz misses with a lunging right hand
and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ortiz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ortiz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
Gideon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Ortiz.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ortiz tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ortiz to the ground. Ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ortiz to the mat! Ortiz manages to get full guard.
Ortiz is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones dives into side control.
Ortiz pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ortiz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jones.
Ortiz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gideon Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ortiz seems a little lost for a moment, as Jones dominates the positioning.

Jones sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Ortiz taps out!
