Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Hammlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Hammlin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gordon Ferguson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Hammlin! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferguson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hammlin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hammlin won't allow Ferguson to sweep him here. Ferguson really is a fat lump. Hammlin slips nicely into half guard. Ferguson wants to get back to his feet.
Hammlin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ferguson has managed to free his arm - good work. Hammlin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammlin controlling the action here. Hammlin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hammlin drives through with a takedown into guard. Hammlin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hammlin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammlin controlling from the top position. Hammlin stands up from guard. Let's bang! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hammlin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ferguson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hammlin is in Ferguson's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ferguson is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammlin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hammlin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferguson is looking to get to half guard. Ferguson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hammlin controlling his opponent. Hammlin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ferguson is looking to escape. Hammlin controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Hammlin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hammlin scores with a couple of good head shots there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hammlin punishing his opponent with strikes. Hammlin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ferguson manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Hammlin dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hammlin pushes Ferguson up against the cage in a clinch. Hammlin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chris Hammlin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hammlin gets a clinch. Ferguson tries to land a knee to the head but Hammlin blocks with his arms.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Hammlin. Ferguson is looking to control Hammlin's arms but Hammlin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ferguson has his back to the cage. Ferguson stalling in the clinch.
Ferguson jumps guard but Hammlin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hammlin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ferguson regains guard immediately. Hammlin has gone for a leg lock! Ferguson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hammlin's guard. Hammlin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammlin controlling the action here. Hammlin seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammlin prevents Ferguson from improving his position. Ferguson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hammlin postures up and lands a big shot to Ferguson's brow. Hammlin prevents Ferguson from getting back to his feet. Hammlin passes into half guard. Still in half guard, Hammlin seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammlin uses his free foot to push down on Ferguson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ferguson. Hammlin controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammlin unloading with bombs! Hammlin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ferguson is surviving well by controlling Hammlin's body position as best he can. Hammlin lands a couple of good shots and Ferguson has given up his back, trying to escape the position! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Hammlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Ferguson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Ferguson gets caught napping as Hammlin dives in and scores a takedown. Ferguson manages to retain guard. Hammlin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ferguson's guard. Hammlin is nestled in close to Ferguson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hammlin stalling. Ferguson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hammlin stands up from guard. Let's bang! Hammlin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammlin controlling the action here. Hammlin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferguson is just riding it out for now. Hammlin eventually gives up the hold. Hammlin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hammlin sitting and controlling from the half guard. Hammlin works his foot free and advances to mount. Hammlin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammlin fails to move to back control. Hammlin tries to control but Ferguson wriggling away. Ferguson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ferguson working to try and regain half guard.
Hammlin scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammlin controlling the position easily from mount. Ferguson is trying desperately to improve position. Hammlin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammlin won't let Ferguson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Hammlin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hammlin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
