Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoko Suna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoko Suna told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Suna does a little dance to reset his feet.

Suna fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.

Suna has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Suna lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively.
Thomas is looking to clinch but Suna is avoiding it.

Thomas bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Suna tries to improve position but can't.
Suna takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Thomas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Suna is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Thomas yanks on the arm and Suna is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Thomas.
